Abstract

This article aims to discuss what the contribution of researches of sociology of religion to understanding of essential religious problems. First, we explained basic sociological approaches in classical religious studies and then, we indicated academic panorama in field of sociology of religion in
Turkey for solving the problem. We used post-graduate courses and studies as data in this article.
From this panorama, we make a new suggestion about the studies of sociology of religion.
