The types and application areas in industry of adsorbents have increased that have an important place by ensuring convenience and
quality in human life despite the adsorption event in the substances is discovered about 240 years ago. Adsorbents consist of natural,
artificial, organic, inorganic, living and non-living matters can be classified and called according to different criteria. The use areas of
adsorbents obtained from raw and/or pre-treated materials vary from day to day on the basis of the type and origins. The new adsorbents are
produced by scientific and technological studies and so the new sectors are created. These materials are yet not converted to the processed
products at the desired/expected levels, although Turkey as a developing country shows significant scientific and technological developments
in the last thirty years and it is also among the world's richest countries in terms of the raw materials of natural and synthetic adsorbents.
