Boron, daily boron intake, the physiological effects of boron.Abstract
Boron is an essential component in the diet of human beings and animals. People need at least 1 mg B/day intake. The upper limit that can be
taken by adults is 20 mg B/day. Under normal conditions, people are exposed to eating foods rich in boron, that is, green leafy vegetables and
fruits, nuts, like walnuts, legumes, avocados, and mushrooms. In spite of acute and chronic toxicity of boron, there are important effects of boron
on oxidative stress, micronutrient metabolism, steroid hormone metabolism, rheumatoid arthritis, and brain functions. Boron is an important
component for human diet.
